VERS tool: Everything in a single app

The VERS tool enables digital transmission of important data between workshops and keepers according to the requirements of the VPI-EMG. The data transmission is based on the data structure of VPI-EMG Module 08A. The app supports digital data entry and documentation during maintenance. This benefits workshops, wagon keepers and their ECMs.

The browser-based tool for entering wagon vehicle data is free for recipients of the VPI-EMG, offers a user-friendly interface and runs on all typical devices, such as smartphones, tablets or laptops. This offers workshops an easy way to get started with electronic data interchange.

  • Free for recipients of the VPI-EMG

The app offers VPI-EMG recipients a free and easy solution for generating forms and digital wagon data.

  • Fast and intuitive operation

Its simple design makes the tool quick and easy to operate even without extensive training. Quick response times and minimal loading times for the data records ensure user-friendly operation.

  • Works on any electronic device with a browser

Whether on a computer, tablet or smartphone, the tool functions on any device with the operating systems Android, iOS or Windows, and it is optimised for tablets. In other words, the barriers to entry are low.

  • Offline data entry possible

Additional benefit for use outside the workshop and for mobile service teams: The app can also be used offline. Simply enter data, and then upload and save it once you have an online connection again.

  • Based on the familiar VPI-EMG 08 XSD schema

The XSD schema forms the basis for the standardised exchange of data between keepers/ECMs and workshops.

Download and get started

The VERS tool is a free offering for recipients of the VPI European Maintenance Guide (VPI-EMG). However, activation for use of the app must be requested separately.

The following documents can currently be generated based on the entered data:

  • Release to service
  • Wheelset repair sheet
  • Wheelset report

With our tool, an XML file can be generated with all entered data, which can then be uploaded to keeper portals. If an XML file already exists, it is automatically imported.
