The ECM certification takes place on the basis of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/779.

An ECM certification is valid for a maximum of five years. Annual monitoring audits take place in the intervening years. After a maximum of five years has elapsed, a re-certification audit is required. 

The auditors of VERS perform ECM assessments individually or as combined audits. The latter take place in some cases on behalf of accredited certification agencies. If you are interested in a combined audit, you can find additional information on the Combined Audits page.
