Our mission
We founded VERS in 2019 with the mission of further improving and expanding the services of VPI for its member companies and the industry and making them available more broadly throughout Europe.
VERS Mission Statement
What are the goals and strategy of our company? What expectations do we place on ourselves for our daily activities and collaboration? The employees of VPI and VERS came together in a workshop and agreed on a mission statement for the work of the VPI service company. The result consists of six guiding principles that form the foundation for the work and future development of VERS.
Our focus
We are committed to serving the needs of the wagon keepers, ECMs and workshops, and we view ourselves as an independent and neutral service provider. Through close collaboration and continuous dialogue with the industry and our customers, we shape our offerings according to their requirements.
Our foundation
The foundation of our services consists of our recommendations for the maintenance of freight wagons, the VPI European Maintenance Guide. A variety of services are based on this foundation, such as the technical assessment of workshops and other offerings like the issue and facilitation of certifications as well as a growing training programme.
Our quality standards
Our customers bear great responsibility for ensuring safe and modern railway freight traffic. In awareness of this, we hold our work and our services to the highest quality standards. The VERS team has extensive technical competence and industry experience and performs its work with efficiency and a service focus.
Our international orientation
Railway freight traffic is a European business. Internationality is a given for us. We design our offerings around the needs of our customers, who carry out their business across national borders. The VERS team is multicultural, multilingual and at ease traveling throughout Europe.

We work for a forward-looking industry that actively contributes to climate mitigation on a daily basis. This motivates and inspires us to continuously develop new solutions and offerings to assist our customers with their diverse challenges.
