An NDT conformity evaluation procedure based on a product certification as per EN ISO/IEC 17065

Non-destructive testing (NDT) of components of a wagon in the course of maintenance activities is critical for ensuring safety.

The certification procedure “NDT RAILWAY” serves for evaluating the conformity of non-destructive testing processes used by workshops in the course of maintenance work on wagons. The corresponding test processes are described in VPI-EMG 09. The conformity evaluation procedure therefore serves to strengthen trust between keepers and ECMs as well as the workshops carrying out the NDT.

This makes verification of the competence management according to “NDT Railway” an essential foundation for the technical assessment of workshops.
