The recognition granted to VPI European Rail Service GmbH (VERS) as an ECM certification body in December 2023 has been extended with effect from 16.04.2025. 

Therefore, VERS is recognised as an ECM certification body for the following vehicle categories:

• Freight cars; with wagons specifically for the transport of hazardous goods
• Locomotives, train sets, high-speed vehicles, driving trailers
• Ancillary vehicles
• Passenger wagons

This recognition of VERS is listed in the ERADIS database under EU ID number DE/30/0225/0001.

VERS is therefore now authorised to carry out ECM certifications according to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/779 that are recognised throughout Europe.

With this certification, the entities in charge of maintenance can demonstrate that they meet the requirements of the aforementioned ECM implementing regulation.
