Since December 2023, VPI European Rail Service GmbH (VERS) in Hamburg has been recognised by the German Federal Railway Authority as an ECM certification body for freight wagons, in particular for wagons for the transport of hazardous goods.
This recognition of VERS is listed in the ERADIS database under EU ID number DE/30/0123/0002.
VERS is therefore now authorised to carry out ECM certifications of maintenance entities according to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/779 that are recognised throughout Europe.
With this certification, the entities in charge of maintenance for freight wagons can demonstrate that they meet the requirements of the aforementioned ECM implementing regulation.
VPI European Rail Service GmbH in Hamburg is recognised as an ECM certification body for freight wagons and therefore authorised to certify corresponding maintenance entities according to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/779.
